I just wonder if their eyebrows were meant to be comical like in a play? Or were they really a fad at the time like black teeth in some cultures such as old Vietnamese women who blackened their teeth with shellac ointment?

Fashion in the Tang Dynasty was really diverse and gave birth to many different makeup looks. Eyebrows might be part of it.😁
