Recently, I’ve been watching Under the Microscope, a drama about the Ming Dynasty, and the costumes are in line with the Ming Dynasty. If you want to get to know and understand Hanfu through dramas, I would recommend these dramas: The Longest Day In Chang’an (about the Tang Dynasty), The Wind Blows from Longxi (about the Three Kingdoms period).

Shallow, one-dimensional female characters, and gods with petty human feelings. Those are the absolute deal breaker for me.^^ That’s why I don’t watch a lot of them. The last I liked were The Untamed, WOrd of Honor and Love like the Galaxy.

If you want Eng sub this site might not work. It’s entirely in Chinese. But you can try YouTube or bilibili. There might be account that post Eng sub, just might need VPN depending on area.
